Mendocino Farms - Austin: Fresh, Flavorful Salads & Sandwiches with Friendly Service

Love this place!! The best salads I have ever had and my husband loved the chicken parm sandwich. Shabazz one of the managers made sure we had a great experience. We will be regulars at this place.

James, Mattie, and the GM Sarah were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel truly welcome. The food was outstanding, with plenty of fresh vegan and vegetarian options. I ordered the chimichurri steak and bacon sandwich, which was delicious. I’ve also tried the pesto and shells as well as the spicy Calabrian turkey sandwich that my mom ordered—both were excellent. My nana had the avocado and quinoa salad and said it was amazing. Overall, the food was fantastic, the atmosphere was warm, and the service made it a wonderful experience. I’ll definitely be coming back!

The good: Food quality is great, and some unique items and creations. A welcome addition to the area The Bad: extremely small portions to the point you’ll be hungry after you just ate, and they ask for tip in a fast casual environment where you do all the work yourself. Little things like a small handful of chips or even a pickle spear go a long way on a tiny $17 after tax steak sandwich If the bad was fixed above I would go 1-2x/mo vs 1-2x a year. Have your accountant do the math and see what’s a better outcome The truly great fast casuals don’t ask for tip, and give big portions to be full

What a great addition to the neighborhood! My food rating is 4 star ONLY because I like my soup on the hotter side, it was good and warm, just not hot. Staff was amazing, service was fast and prices (all relative these days) were reasonable for the quality and freshness of the ingredients. We'll be back!

My new favorite place! Everything coming out looked really fresh, healthy, and delicious. Salads looked huge. I got the tomato basil soup and half sandwich combo with the chicken pesto sandwich. Should have snapped a photo first but it looked so good I dug right in. Loved it all, especially the soup. Workers will very polite and friendly. Price was right and comparable to Panera. Seemed to have options for people with food sensitivities/allergies, but I need to look closer to find out. Will be back.

This place is so good Very filling, not greasy at all — I highly recommend the not so fried chicken sandwich — soooo yummy. You honestly don’t need any sides with it if you get the full sandwich. It’s a lot of food We shared a Sammy, got the spicy couscous salad and lemon chicken soup! All were so delicious — can’t wait to come back here!

We ordered the steak sandwich, the golden Cobb salad (added steak), the pesto salad, the lemon chicken soup, and the lemon cheesecake cookie. All of it was so delicious. I wish I was eating the steak sandwich all over again. Washed it all down with their lemonade which was also good. All the food tasted fresh and was made well. Staff was amazing. If I could compliment one staff member his name is Shabazz (he was really rocking those suspenders). He was the most endearing and nice guy I've ever encountered. I believe he is one of the managers but made us feel right at home. Would definitely come back.
